The Hopping Pig

While visiting San Diego for Cisco Live, I had the opportunity to visit The Hopping Pig Gastropub on 5th Ave.  I can recommend the Pig Burger, and I sampled some tasy local stouts, pictured below the menu.  As you can see, they do have quite a selection.  I really wanted to try a Monkey in the Sun, but never got around to it with all the local microbrews.

First up for the evening was the Ale Smith Speedway Stout, pictured below, for $6.50.

Second up was the Ballast Point Sea Monster Imperial Stout for $6.50.

Finally for this evening, the Ballast Point Piper Down Scottish for $6.00.

All three of these were very good, and I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase them again.
