Listened to chapter 14 of Leviathan this evening, a -great- discourse on contract and covenant tied in with natural law. I -love- Hobbes’ emphasis on the importance of definition, and as such the preceding chapters do benefit this chapter. However, this one stands exceptionally well on its own. MP3 link attached.

Maybe the US doesn’t have it right, but it looks like non-Nationalized healthcare works pretty well for Mexico.  Need to dig deeper into exactly what is included in all the costs, specifically infrastructure.

Andreas’ History of the State of Nebraska.  Ran across this page while looking for the source of “equality before the law” motto and its supposed originator, Mr. Isaac Wiles, representative in the 2nd Legislature ( from http://nebraskaccess.ne.gov/writingareportonnebraska.asp).

Your phone calls, decrypted.  This is actually “a good thing”.  Now cellular operators have real, demonstrable proof that their algorithm is not secure.  It opens them to liability, which they don’t like, and makes the cost of doing nothing potentially greater than the cost of fixing the problem.

Need to read it, but I suspect it’s reminiscent of the administration’s plan to emulate the costs and risks involved in EU socialist healthcare ventures.

When did we lose this command of the language in our verse and prose? I suspect it was sacrificed alongside the accuracy in conveyance of thought and feeling which is so pervasive in our ultra high-efficiency modern society.
