Google Voice: a cheapskates guide to cheap VOIP | ZDNet

I’ve been thinking I need to add a “local” number at home for some time, but I hate to ditch the Google Voice number I’ve had for some time (and do have a few services associated with).  I recently noted that GV has an option to select a new number and permanently retain your existing GV # for just a $20 administrative fee… may seriously look into doing so.

I think these could be really useful and are reasonably priced.  Sure, 10BT, but that’s plenty of bandwidth for a number of low volume devices.

Might have to pick this one up at some point.  I can see it potentially being useful.

Westinghouse 1080p smaller size TVs

32″ – VR-3225 LD-3280
24″ – LD-2480

LD series are LED backlit. Sound appears to suck, but they otherwise seem to be not too bad.

Might try to build something like this for storing my boat in the shed.  Then again, might actually be cheaper to just buy this and modify it than to build from scratch.

This looks like a pretty good deal on a spacious, seemingly solid little backup unit.  One of these and a little more native capacity (which I keep meaning to pick up) to cover normal wear-and-tear failure, and I think a person could be pretty well set for data reliability.
